Christmas Baskets Brighten Lives

Ten days before Christmas in 2018, the Knights of Columbus were able to brighten the lives of 59 deserving families.

Each family received items to help them through the Christmas season as well as for the school year. Each gift basket contained staple items such as flour, rice, beans, and sugar. Also, each family received a five pound ham and a $50 gift card to Smart and Final to purchase perishable food items.

And the children were remembered. Each child received a wrapped gift specially selected for the boy or girl. Also, all school-age children received a quality backpack filled with the supplies they need to get through the school day.

The Knights of Columbus is one of the world’s largest forces for good. They were formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief, and public relief works.
