On Track to a Bright Future – Air-Tro Supports Helpline Youth Counseling (HYC)
On June 17, 2019, HYC hosted the 14th Annual Golf Tournament at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda. It was a fundraiser to help low-income youth and their families.
Their goal was to raise $25,000 in net proceeds to benefit and empower children, youth, individuals, and families through counseling, treatment, and support services in Southeast Los Angeles County and Long Beach.
Since 1971, HYC has been eliminating barriers to self-sufficiency by empowering youth and promoting the development of strong individuals and families in their community. This is accomplished through education, therapeutic approaches, advocacy, and the utilization of community resources. Jeff Farber, Executive Director states:
“We are proud to announce that in the last year, we provided comprehensive educational, counseling, prevention, intervention, and family support services to 5,471 at-risk, low-income youth and their families in the targeted communities of Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, La Mirada, Long Beach, Norwalk, Paramount, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, Signal Hill, Whittier, and Unincorporated South Whittier.”
Air-Tro is proud to support those making a difference in our local community.
